Sometimes things around us can blur our vision: that is why we are to stay focused on Jesus:

When we can see where we are going, we are not alarmed at the obstacles because we see them coming. If we have direction, our navigation of reaching the destination is marked out ahead of time. When we know the plan, it gives us a sense of what we will accomplish. All this relates back to our attitudes.

I’m amazed at the opportunity we have to share our faith in 2012. I had a person approach me at the bank and wanted to know what I thought about the upcoming dates on the end of the earth. It’s a God given opportunity to share the truth. What is the truth? There are so many hucksters and idiots out there, that it’s made it tough for us. Remember how 2 Peter told us there’d be scoffers? Well they’re coming out of the wood work, but don’t ignore the true seekers!

Well here we go, 2012! The Mayan calendar runs out. People have been freaking out about the end since the Adventists in the 1840’s. But the real question is: has God’s calendar run out. He tells us, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Mt 24:36

The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.
-Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.
-Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.-
-The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
-The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.
-The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of
creation.
-Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.
-The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.

Did you know it all started back with a group of German Christians. One tradition claims it as being centered around the Garden of eden. The “Paradise Tree”…Of which Adam and Eve took the forbidden fruit…they would decorate it in churches on Christmas Eve, on it placing apples and communion wafers. They all together would tell of God's interaction and ultimate incarnation. In other words-it told the story of our fall and The coming of Jesus, and our salvation through him.

What a wonderful month! We get to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
With the world the way it makes you think that it is all about giving a present to someone so you can get one back, it is nice to just nice to sit and reflect on the humble beginning for the Season.
Jesus didn't come with the media televising his entry to earth. Quite the opposite. Shepherds were the only ones to recieve the news (from Heaven itself no less). He came to save us all yet most of us didn't even notice Him.
